I had a wonderful experience at Monterio, with spacious and comfortable rooms that were well-maintained. The hotel staff were incredibly polite and attentive, though I did have a disappointing dining experience at the Baga Brasserie, which served poor-quality food. Overall, the location was excellent, surrounded by nature and close to the beach, making it a good getaway.
Rooms

The rooms were spacious, immaculate, and comfortable, although the furniture could use an update as it felt dated.

The staff were polite, respectful, and responsive. Mr. Sohan, the Manager, personally attended to our requests, which was a nice touch.

The resort is ideally located in North Goa, surrounded by greenery and close to Baga Beach. It's also conveniently near to local markets and bike rentals.
Dining

I had a bad experience at the Baga Brasserie; the food was stale and poorly prepared, which was disappointing.

While the hotel needs an upgrade in terms of amenities like WiFi and additional electrical points, the overall environment and nature surrounding it added to the charm.

I had a mixed experience at Monterio in Baga. The hotel is nestled in thick greenery and has a prime location just a short walk from Baga Beach, which I really appreciated. However, I found the check-in time of 4 PM to be quite late and encountered some issues with the room's cleanliness and maintenance that detracted from my stay.
Rooms
6.0
My room was equipped with all the necessary amenities, but the furniture felt dated, some pieces seemingly over 20 years old. I also noticed that one of the beds was creaky, indicating it could use some monitoring.
Service
5.0
While the staff was generally friendly and helpful, I faced some frustration when they refused to clean my dishes upon request, which was inconvenient for my large group.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a fantastic location surrounded by lush greenery and is very close to popular Baga Beach. It’s only about a 10-minute walk to the beach, making it convenient for enjoying the local shacks.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were decent, and I particularly enjoyed the tasty puri bhaji they served.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities need some attention; there's no parking on-site, and the grocery store seemed poorly stocked. Additionally, the air conditioning in my room was functional but could be updated.

My stay at Monterio in Baga was nice for several reasons. The resort's cleanliness was impressive, thanks to the staff, particularly Hema, whose friendly demeanor brightened my experience. However, I found the accommodation a bit dated, with furniture that seems to be stuck in the past. While the location is fantastic, being close to Baga beach and good restaurants, the rooms could really benefit from modernization.
Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, but the furniture felt outdated and the lack of blockout curtains was a downside.
Service
10.0
The staff, especially Hema and Vasant, were incredibly courteous and eager to assist, making my stay enjoyable.
Location

I loved the location. it's on a hill, which provided a serene atmosphere, yet still very close to Baga beach and local eateries.
Dining

Dining at The Brasserie was a delight. the simple dishes were prepared well, and the service was attentive.
Facilities

Facilities were well maintained, but could use some updates to match the overall standards of the resort.

My stay at Karma Monterio in Baga was quite disappointing, especially in light of the promotional promises I received. While the location is serene and close to the beach, the overall experience fell short due to outdated furnishings and inconsistent service. The reception staff was friendly, but the room amenities and housekeeping left much to be desired.
Rooms
5.0
The room felt old, with furniture that seemed dated and inadequate amenities. The bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, creating a moist environment that was uncomfortable (not ideal for relaxation).
Service
5.0
Though the reception staff was polite and helpful, the food service was slow, with only one or two attendants visible at a time. I was surprised by the lack of a breakfast buffet (that's quite common in many hotels now).
Location
8.0
The resort is located on elevated terrain, offering a peaceful setting surrounded by greenery (the proximity to Baga beach is a plus). It was easy to access local restaurants and attractions.
Dining
6.0
The food was decent, but the service was lacking—something I noticed during meals. I didn't have the chance to try the in-house restaurant.
Facilities
5.0
The resort has beautiful outdoor pools, and the recreational options were sufficient, but the housekeeping needs attention (I had to wait longer than expected for room service).

I had a very pleasant and nice stay at Karma Royal Monte Rio. The location and ambiance were wonderful, though I feel the furniture in the rooms is dated and could use an update. The service from the friendly staff was perfect, and I appreciated the variety of amenities offered at the resort.
Rooms

The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, but I noticed the furniture was quite dated, reminiscent of styles from 20 years ago.
Service

The staff were friendly and helpful, addressing all my queries in a timely manner and making me feel welcomed during my stay.
Location

Situated on a hill overlooking a riviera and close to the famous Saturday Night Market, the location was excellent, providing easy access to nearby attractions.
Dining

The restaurant offered a great menu with a mix of continental and Goan cuisine, and I enjoyed crispy salads alongside my meals.
Facilities

With two swimming pools, a multiactivity center, a gym, and a spa, the resort had everything I could ask for, making my stay truly enjoyable.
